Mediatrips

Most of the time, our crews fly to a particular destination on a single assignment for a single customer. In the last few years, however, Orientation has increasingly been doing several productions for different customers on a single trip, and we see this as a new approach that has benefits for all involved.

That’s why Orientation will be launching a new initiative in autumn 2012: media trips. These are trips to (far away) destinations that we organise ourselves to produce materials on site for various media communications for diverse customers.

If a customer has no clear deadline they can tag along on the production during such a combination trip. That way, travel expenses and production costs are divided among multiple customers so that we can deliver good films at sharper prices. Besides, we need to fly less and can plan all the logistical aspects as efficiently as possible.

To start off with we have chosen the so-called BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China). We will be organising the first media trips in (parts of) these up-and-coming economies, producing films and photography for various customers.

We are currently working this out in more detail and will be publishing more information in the course of 2011.
